You will enjoy studying at the Zuyd University School of Computer Science. Our lecturers are very enthusiastic, most up-to-date and always student-friendly. Our students often work together in small groups on assignments and case studies. In our four-year Bachelor’s degree programmes, we offer high-quality theoretical and practical courses: three years of instruction and two semesters of mandatory full-time internships / work placements in industry.
Five semesters with instruction in English
Our School of Computer Science offers five semesters with instruction in English. Both Communication & Multimedia Design and Network Infrastructure Design have two semesters in English; Information Management has one. Please click on the names of the courses to the left for more information.
If you are interested, we can try to find an English-speaking company for you to do a semester of work placement / internship in. Please contact m.schrevel@hszuyd.nl if you want us to search for you.
Semesters divided in Block Periods
All our semesters are divided in two Block Periods. One Block Period lasts 10 weeks, and usually includes a break of one week. You typically have 7 or 8 weeks of instruction, followed by a week of tests. After this there is a week of resit exams, feedback and finishing assignments.
One Block Period program has a typical study load of 15 European credits, or 7.5 American semester credit hours.
Our semesters generally run from early September till the end of January, and from early February till the end of June.
Laptops and wireless internet
Many students bring their own laptops. For Communication & Multimedia Design it is absolutely necessary for students to have a laptop of their own: there are no PCs available.
All Zuyd University facilities have free wireless internet access for registered students.
